Hi and welcome to this overdue update, So things have been going well this year and you may notice some changes to the blog most of all I've now got the Just giving pages set up so you can donate to my chosen charities, remember all donations to Make a Wish will be matched by The Utility Warehouse as their charity of the year yay.
The weight loss is going well although it has slowed in the past 4 weeks, in total this year I've lost 20 lb this is mainly been helped by the app MyFitnessPal.com which is a calorie counter/diary if you start using it feel free to add me ThePaulJennings so we can help each other stay on track!
The running is also going well and I'm using another app RunKeeper.com to track that too,you can find me as PaulJennings on there and see my activity here I'm now once again running up to 3 miles and it's been great, can't wait to do a 10K again, and now looking for races.
On to the big event, 3 Peaks planning has started, I've now started a Facebook group as the people who are joining me is growing however I've decided to keep it a closed group for now, but of course keep you informed to how it's going.
Until next time!

Never, Never Give up and the 3 causes
Well it's been about 2 weeks since my last post, but I've not given up, the running has been going well, however the weight has not been dropping off as much as I'd have liked, that's down to me not watching what I've been eating though, that's changed now though.
While I was out running, I was thinking about this and how many people give up on things that they want to soon, just because they are not seeing the results that they expected, so they think it's not working for them! It's such a shame when people give up on their goals and dreams so easily.
It takes 21 days for a habit to form and once that happens, things start to become easier and that's when changes start happening.
So go for your goal and never, never give up.
I've chosen to support 3 causes for my challenge and they are Help for Heroes, Make A Wish Foundation and Team Warrior and here is why I've chosen them.
Help for Heroes - Honestly I don't think this charity should have to exist and the government should support our Heroes, however it does so I believe our Heroes deserve our support.
Make a Wish - Another deserving cause - making wishes come true for children, The company I'm partnered with Utility Warehouse Discount Club have made Make A Wish their charity of the year for 2012, anything I raise for them will be doubled by UWDC up to a maximum of £100,000. So I want to make them give up as much of that money as possible.
Team Warrior - Not yet a charity but a deserving cause I'm promoting until it becomes a charity. Team Warrior. This is the worlds local charity and will be disaster areas or projects around the world and on a national and local basis too.
I will be setting up a just giving account for you to sponsor me through, so watch this space.
Take care

How things change, the challenge expands
Wow it's been amazing week since my last video.
The running is going well and I've now set the goal of losing 6 stone, by the 30th June then followed by doing the 3 peaks challenge on the last bank holiday in August, This is all going to be possible because of to Dean Grimshawe the Warrior Coach from Team Warrior so many thanks to him, in case you don't know that's doing Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis all within 24 hours. Also Asics I need some new trainers, so if you'd like to sponsor me s a pair I'd like a pair of size 11 Foundations or equivalent.
Anyway enjoy the video and I'll see you next time.
To your success

The Challenge
Welcome to my blog about my challenge to lose weight and get fit and healthy again!
Watch my first video to find out more.
So my goal is to lose 6 stone in 42 weeks, So by the 30th June, I will have reached my target. That's a steady 2lb per week.
This did just start out as me working to lose weight and get fit at the beginning of June 2011. I had planned to do a video blog but never did it, inspired by my friend Gary Murray who has started and done a video and doing it for charity, I thought right, I may as well use my efforts for charity too, so here's the video and blog. There has been some big changes and I'll talk about that in the next video.
